As the Moonlight Falls
This is better than any soap opera.
I went into my Moonlight Falls game for a little while this morning and was surprised to see that James, Gloria's best friend since childhood, has been turned into a toad by one of the local witches.

Gloria was horrified to see what happened to her friend. If this had happened to Neldor, Aeronwen would have bee-lined into her laboratory and made the needed cure elixir. If she had been unable to do this she would have accepted the risk of becoming a toad herself and kissed him. Unfortunately Gloria and James are not as close as Aeronwen and Neldor, so Gloria is not willing to take the risk of becoming toadified.
So that leaves alchemy, but her alchemy skill is not yet high enough to make the cure, so James is stuck, although truth be told he doesn't seem to mind. However, Gloria did NOT appreciate him eating her recently purchased honeybees.
As for Cody/Godonir, he raised his handiness skill quickly and chose to become a self employed repairman. Because of being so good at upgrading objects, he's done some work for Gloria as a handyman. She knows how to upgrade things herself, but she's very busy now that she has her farm working and producing. It takes a lot of time to tend the garden and the honeybees. Plus she's still attending classes at the local university to earn her Fine Arts degree so...it's handy to hire a handyman.
So...here is what is being said in simlish;
Gloria: (flips through her alchemy book) "I feel terrible for James. I know I should kiss him but...I might end up toadified myself."
Cody (working on upgrading a solar panel): "Can't have that happen."
Gloria: "I could get the recipe for the curing elixir, but I'm not skilled enough in alchemy to make it. Poor James...he'll have to stay that way until I'm better at alchemy."
Cody: (glances over at the pond where Toad-James is eating flies) "I don't know...He seems kind of happy like that. He might want to stay that way."
Gloria: "But...when he was over here earlier he ate some of my honeybees. I had a terrible time trying to get him to stop."
Cody: (shakes his head as he gets more nails from a nearby box) "That's really a shame. You might have to bar him from your property. That's a difficult thing to do, but those bees are a part of your livelihood. You can't allow James to eat them. You...do what you have to do."
Gloria: "Yes...that's true."
Cody: (smirks as he continues hammering)
Will James remain a toad forever? Will Gloria decide to bite the bullet and kiss him? Will we discover who paid the witch who cursed James? None of these questions will be answered in the next episode of...As the Moonlight Falls...

I can hear the music to Days of Our Lives... and see the hourglass.
One option you might have is go broke buying a cure potion from an overpriced alchemy shop, if you have one....
When I brought in Gilvoth, Neloth was afflicted with Zombification, thanks to Gilvoth's eldest brother. I couldn't get Neloth to make a cure potion because he eats the plants in his greenhouse, instead of tending garden for the ingredients for a cure potion. So Gilvoth dashed off to the alchemist store. What are true friends for? The only good trait these two have. I still wish there was a caste setting where the members performs only positive actions for each other, to hell with everyone else.
LOL at Cody. James seems perfectly happy that way! I bet Godinir wishes Neldor was permanently toadified. Or Zombified.

Yes, there is a neighborhood alchemy shop, but at the merchant doesn't appear to have a cure potion in her inventory.

Oh he would love to get Neldor out of the way, preferably with a method that wouldn't lead back to him.

I'm sure he's working on that, too.
He's really convinced He's going to get Aeronwen one way or another.

Of course Neloth would eat that up. In his universe Sarasvati not wedding him is like breaking the laws of physics.

And so on, Neloth ranting for a good time, lol!

Yep, and Godonir knows how to keep them complaining (oh happy day).
Godonir: "The other irritants of this town are the two mers who are the heads of law enforcement. Every time I'm out looking for your components they feel the need to stop and question me. I've repeatedly explained that you two are conducting important and timely experiments and need the reagents I've gathered, but they insist on waylaying me."
Gilvoth: *scowls* "It's not your fault. They bother us, too. Always giving us speeding tickets. Yet they don't say a word to Odros and Pinky who have been zipping around in their wheeled motorized...bug things."
Godonir: "Don't they realize that you both have more important things to do than deal with them?"
Gilvoth: "They're too thick-headed." *gestures as a chair* "Sit down and have some tea."
Godonir: *settles into a chair* "Why thank you, Serjo. Don't mind if I do."
Something that cracked me up is that Godonir and the human version of himself in MF loves the tea table. It's hilarious to see this thug sitting there and properly sipping his tea.
