I wasn't going to do anything else with the shed for now, but Gloria's cat (Sim Noelle who is a ginger and white "pinto kitty" like my real life Noelle) caught three Iridescent Beetles which sold for over $1000 each, so I decided to expand the shed again (both at the front and the sides) by a few more tiles.
Actually for a while I let Gloria paint white I debated whether or not to spend any more money on her living space since eventually it will all be torn down and rebuilt to house a second horse stall. Then I reminded myself that she needs $50,000 at the very least to build the main house and fill it with higher quality furniture and kitchen appliances. She's going to be living in this little studio space for longer than just a few weeks, so....
After expanding the space a bit I changed the interior siding to make it more cottage-like and less shed-like. I also expanded the floor rug, got her a bookcase with some books, the cheapest of the television sets, and a loveseat. I started to get a chair to put in front of the TV, but the loveseat is big enough for her pets to jump up and sit beside her (though the cat prefers to sit on Gloria's lap).

The camera is making this space look a lot wider than it really is. There's just enough room for Gloria, the dog and the cat to move around in there without having collision issues. Actually the place reminds me of my first apartment which was a studio. It was small but cozy and had enough room for me and my first cat.

Okay, so now she should be finished with the upgrading until she's ready to start building the main house. Judging by her moodlets Gloria is comfortable in there.
Ah, one more thing this game needs: the ability to take a sheet of paper and write "shame signs" that can be taped to a pet's collar and hang down in front of their chest. If we could do that, Gloria would hang a sign from her dog's collar that says:
"I watched a deer eat one of the tomato plants and I did nothing."
LOL Just like in real life, the property fence didn't stop the deer. I'll need to put another fence around the garden itself. In real life that doesn't stop deer either, but computer deer have collision issues, so a tight fence around the crops should keep them out. Gloria just needs to remember to lock the gate.
Edited to add: I ended up getting rid of the loft bed and replacing it with a regular single sized brass bed. The reason is that there are ladders on both sides of the loft bed, and when it was time for Gloria to get up she went down the ladder that was against the wall and...well, that didn't work very well. I had to use the Master Control Reset option to get her out of the wall. So...the loft bed is a nice idea, but there needs to be one with only one ladder so we don't have the "Sim trapped in a wall" issue.
Another Edit: Another change I forgot to mention. I had a cheap bathtub set up outside the shed for when the dog and cat needed a flea bath, but I saw that the dog had enough happiness points to get the Pet Hygienator so I went ahead and got one. It was a win-win situation. Gloria got a little over $300 back when she got rid of the tub, the Hygienator didn't cost any money, and now there is a much easier way to deal with fleas.
The next time I play my other game I'll need to look and see if Tinsel or Ivy have enough points for one. There's enough room in the shed for one and would make life easier when either of the pets need a bath. It's not easy getting an afghan hound into a bathtub, so it would be nice to eliminate that headache. I can always recolor it and make it look like a Dwemer designed machine.
