Taking an ever so brief break from New Ascadia, I went into my Appaloosa Plains game and played through a couple of days. There's not a whole lot to report since Gloria doesn't really interact with the other town residents. She hasn't even seen Robin much lately since she's so busy keeping after her garden during the day and then going to the equestrian center to compete in show jumping with her horse Faith in the evening. That being said, she has taken her lot (called Leap of Faith Farm after her horse) has moved on to the next stage.
She just finished having the barn built. At the moment it's only big enough for one stall plus a grooming/tack area, but that's all right since for now she only has one horse.

A screenshot of the interior. She went ahead and sprung for the extra fancy stall even though it was more expensive than the basic "western stall" that had been built alongside the shed. The shed-stall was then sold since it's no longer needed.

To make Gloria look a little less like Aeronwen, I've given her this hair. Of course since it's so pretty Aeronwen will likely want to style her own hair like this for a change.

Gloria is still living in her furnished garden shed, but it's nice in there. And now that the barn has been built the next goal is to save up some more money and began building her house.

Incidentally, her garden now has three...yes, three...money trees and I'm allowing her to harvest from them. She works very hard that she deserves a little extra money, and it's not that she gets so much money from the trees that she's suddenly a millionaire.
Her three pets are all Best Friends with each other. While Gloria was down the road at the coffee house using one of the computers, Faith, Grace, and Noelle got into a discussion. Going by their thought bubbles I am guessing that they were talking about the possibility of a fourth pet. Faith does NOT want a pet bird. Noelle wants a guinea pig (colored palomino pinto like the rest of them), and Grace thinks the household is just fine the way it is.

This is a far more simple game than the one I have going on in New Ascadia, but sometimes simple makes for a nice little break.

I checked this page and see that if Gloria buys a Rodent Terrarium, the "Wormrat", which looks like a pinto guinea pig, is one of the pets that can be purchased to stock the terrarium. So she could easily have a fourth "palomino pinto".
