Small Cat Houses Seemed to Do the Trick

As soon as the two large dogs that were sleeping in the shelter area went on their way, I got rid of the large houses and replaced them with small houses from the 3 New Pet Houses mod along with a scratching post and a food dispenser. Granted it's only been one game day,but the changes seemed to do the trick. At least as far as the large dogs are concerned. After the household went to bed a black and white elder cat along with a cat-sized brown and white elder dog showed up and made themselves comfortable in the houses.

It seems like all the strays I see are elderly pets, so I used this command to get a list:

NRaas - Master Controller - Sim - Status - Personal - Type of Pet Pool - Stray Cats/Stray Dogs

All of the cats are elders. With the dogs, all but the big gray wolf looking dog are also elders. Poor little ones are having a tough old age.

(They're made of PIXELS!) Yeah, I know.


Now for Nerst's nightly report:

"I saw that Thorinor Jackle-Thorn stalking around my home recently. He was obviously casing the place! Go arrest him, why don't ya?" screamed Yanna Swift Leaf as the police were taking her statement. Apparently some $14,392 simoleons have gone missing at her home.

(So Yanna doesn't like it when someone robs her. Oh the irony.)

"I am really grateful for the infusion of cash! $16,239 simoleons is going to help so much with expenses!" Larena Fernwood can thank the Robin for the generous donation, whomever he may be.

(He's such a good big brother.)

Careful while Constance Swift Arrow is around, or you may find something misplaced. Sarasvati Aryon found that out the hard way when a $90 simoleon Wall Dancer vanished from her home recently. "I did eventually recover it, but what a hassle!"

(Aww, Constance, you stole a cat toy that the Jackle-Thorn kitties like to play with.)

"I just think what he does is outrageous!" sputtered Larena Fernwood after learning about Crassius Curio's recent philandering behavior. "A sim should be true to one and only one. Fooling around like that is just begging for trouble!"

(Now this sounds much more like Larena's personality and upbringing. This makes all the time I spent scratching my head and trying to figure out how to use castes worth it.)

What Odros Dagoth sees in Erandre Dence's goofball antics, no one will probably ever comprehend. However it appears the town Loon has reeled in a new member of his gang.

(I'm not really surprised. Odros has a strange sense of humor.)

Some lucky sims recently received some much needed attention from the local casanova, Tureynul Dagoth. "There is more than enough of me to go around," noted Tureynul.

(And I once again hear Gilvoth gagging.)

Meldor Mossthorn was involved in a fracas earlier today with local thug Master Nelother. The unfortunate victim, Meldor, was kicked in the gut and left breathless but was otherwise unharmed. There was no known motive for the attack.

(Meldor, as I told you before, you should feel free to hit Neloth with one of your armorer's hammers. There isn't anyone in New Ascadia who would blame you.)

All the wild horses I've been able to look at in CAS are elder female. Same with the rare stray cat or dog What is with this? I wonder if there is a way to tweak this in NRAAS because I would like to see some foals.

I went into my Appaloosa Plains game and checked those groups as well and found nearly all over them to be elders. The wild horse group has one Adult female and a foal, but that doesn't happen anywhere near as often as it should.

It seems I have only 3 wild horses right now, all elder female. The Grim Reaper showed up and took the fourth one. So, I try to grab pets and horses and set them back to adult in NRAAS-CAS.

That's possible. It still seems strange. I checked and saw that the wild horse herd in my Appaloosa Plains game consists of three elder females, one adult female, and one foal. No males at all.

The Dragon Valley herd that I turned into zebras is one adult male, one adult female, one foal and an elder female which seems more realistic.

If you don't mind, what dress did you give Sifna in this pic?

That outfit consists of two pieces. I'll go take a look and see if I can figure out which packs they came from. I know the top is a "Fairy Folk" style blouse. I'm not sure if the skirt came with one of the DLCs or from one of the store packs that I downloaded from the Games 4 the World downloads.



Edited to add: Okay, I went into the game and used the little drop-down filter that in the CAS clothing section (that thing really should be a little bigger). The top is a part of the Supernatural DLC. The skirt, according to the symbol on it, is a part of the base game. So those pieces should be in your game. If not, I did an export of Sifina's outfit and could sent that to you.

If you don't mind, I would like the preset. I did find both parts in the menu, but that is such a gorgeous green!

Sifina's outfit just went on its way. Sharing this sort of file is new to me. Hopefully it will show up in your clothing selection.

I don't think the .package version of the elven dress is good. Use the Sims3pack version.

I don't think that green elven dress works. I just get a blank in the CAS. It must need some mesh that isn't available.

Sifina's skirt shows up nicely, but not the top. I think each part of clothes saves separately when saved as custom.

If it helps, the green swatches I used for her outfit are under the Misc pattern category rather than fabrics. And I'm pretty sure they came with the vanilla game. They were there even before I started downloaded custom content.
