Since Gloria came into a nice big sum of money by selling some paintings and by investing in the local grocery store/diner, she went ahead and upgraded the household appliances and furniture. I had intended to go with a western theme, but Gloria had other ideas and knew which furniture sets she wanted to use. She is nowhere near as old a character as Aeronwen, so her having strong opinions surprised me. Then again she is more or less a human Aeronwen who likes blue instead of lavender.
Anyway, on with the upgraded interior and exterior.
She added a some pillars and a extended the roof over the deck. For porch furniture I added the ivy covered loveseat from the Faerie Folk set. It's not so elven looking that it's out of place in Appaloosa Plains.

A couple of disadvantages to her lot being so upgraded; One, her bills are now higher. Back when there was just a shed and an outhouse on the property her bills were under one hundred simoleons. Now they are a little over three hundred.
The other disadvantage is that burglars target the place now that it looks like she has items that are worth stealing. Fortunately she has a burglar alarm right next to the front door. When a burglar showed up last night the alarm when off before he even set foot on the porch steps, so she didn't loose anything.
The kitchen has been done with the Edwardian Expression Kitchen Set. Next to the fridge is a laundry area. No more going to the laundromat to get the "Fresh Clothing" moodlet.

The rest of the house has been done with the Storybook Set (apparently Gloria prefers furniture that looks like it belongs in a previous century).
The dining area to the left of the front door. The long dining table from this set was a bit much for a single person, so I went with the set's little round table. It's big enough for one or two people. Should Gloria decide at some point to create a generation to follow her, the larger table could be used then.

The living area. Once again it took a while for me to decide if I wanted the sofa or two chairs. Yet again the sofa won because the pets like to sit with Gloria and watch television.

The bedroom. Not a whole lot of difference since I was already using some Storybook elements when I first decorated this room.

I realized that she had some space that she may as well utilize. Between the living room and the bedroom is a space where the staircase will be built when Gloria is ready to add the upper floor, but she won't be doing that for awhile so she may as well use the space as an art area/personal office.

The townspeople aren't laughing at her anymore. In fact she has started getting phone calls from random townies, which she tends to ignore (who are you people?). Shawnee Fox, who is married and has children, has attempted to call her and even sent her a love letter (Shame on you, Shawnee!). Disgusted, Gloria ripped over the letter and threw it away.
Should she decide that she doesn't want to be single anymore (for now she wants to keep her hard-earned home all to herself), there's a perfectly good specimen across the road who will likely come running if she beckons. Especially since he likes her cooking (the man can't cook to save his life).
