Aeronwen and Neldor just had an interesting day to say the least. After a few basic chores around their home they decided to take Tinsel and Caspar to the dog park. There was a "Dog Social Hour" event going on, and they had always been too busy to attend one of those during the planting season, so why not? Neldor and Caspar headed out first. Aeronwen and Tinsel caught up with them at the park following a stop at the consignment shop where Aeronwen dropped off a few bottles of Rosewood Nectar to sell.
It was a nice day for a walk; a little chilly but not too cold.
When the reached the dog park I noticed that Neldor was in the shed playing chess with one of the Dagoth brothers. I figured it was Endus, Odros or Tureynul; one of the brothers Neldor always gets along with.
On zooming in I saw that Neldor was NOT playing chess with Endus, Odros, or Tureynul. It was...Gilvoth, who was giving off green stink fumes. I had to laugh when I saw that Neldor appeared to be holding his hand over his nose and mouth. He had the Disgusted moodlet.
Gilvoth: "I'm going to steal your queen, wood rat."
Neldor: "Yeah right. Dream on, beaky."
The strange thing is that when the game was over and Gilvoth left the shed he no longer had stink fumes. I have no idea how he suddenly cleaned himself up since there are no showers on the lot. Now, no longer stinking, he strolled over to Aeronwen and introduced himself. This is the first time I have seen him be polite to anyone.
After having a polite conversation with Aeronwen, Gilvoth sneaked up behind Likes His Mead and scared the poor drunken Argonian out of his wits.
Neldor and Aeronwen socialized with other sims and their pets on the lot until the early evening which was when they put the leashes on their dogs and walked home. Both Tinsel and Caspar were sleepy at that point and went to their beds to take a nap as soon as they got home.
Aeronwen found an early New Life present waiting for her; a Traditional Piano which she immediately sat down to play. She likes the piano, but being nobility she really wanted a traditional one rather than one of the small Dwemer electric ones. And this piano takes up less space than a concert piano.
The rest of the night was pleasant but unexpectedly took a sinister turn. Neldor made the mistake of drinking too much coffee so he was awake for a few hours after Aeronwen went to bed. For this reason he was awake when a "mysterious anomaly" appeared over their house. Unwisely, he went out to investigate and ended up going on a little trip with some gray skinned, black eyed bald people.
I almost went back to the main menu to cancel the abduction even though it had been a while since I remembered to save and would loose a good bit of the day's progress, but then I remembered that I have the no male pregnancy mod installed. So whatever might have happened on the spaceship, at least Neldor did not return carrying an implanted baby alien.
Hopefully the aliens didn't take any...samples...from Neldor. If they did, Aeronwen will be furious. Neldor's "stuff" is for her use and she's not going to appreciate someone else taking some of it.
I can't help but wonder if Gilvoth is behind this. Thorinor better be careful in case Neloth has a similar plan in place.

Date: 2024-05-06 12:21 am (UTC)From:I let the game go into the following day just to make sure that Neldor didn't get the "Unexpected Weight Gain" moodlet (which he did not). He slept until 10Am since he didn't get to bed until some time after midnight.
While Aeronwen was up doing the morning chores Gilvoth gave her a call and wanted to chat. She immediately wanted to know how he got the number for her "handheld Dwemer communication device" because she certainly didn't give it to him.
Gilvoth: "Uhhh....from Ashara. Yeah, it was Ashara! See, she's my sister in-law and is also the sister of your sister in-law Sarasvati. So in a round about way you and I are family, so Ashara didn't see anything wrong with giving me this number."
Aeronwen: *not believing him* "Yeah....right."

LOL Now I'm imagining that Neloth and Gilvoth figured out a way to hack the communication system and got everyone's numbers. Sarsavati's device will ring and when she answers it she hears Neloth's voice asking, "What are you wearing?"
