Former king (at least in this universe) Hlaalu Helseth has been keeping a low profile since he and his mother ended up in Dragon Valley, but yesterday he was seen at the dog park of all places. There was a "Dog Social Hour" going on so Aeronwen and Neldor decided to go there with Tinsel and Caspar. I didn't even realize Helseth was there until I realized that he was the one Neldor was playing chess with within the dogwood shed.
When Helseth became bored with chess, he left the shed and spoke with Aeronwen. During the conversation he said something that gave her the "Insulted" moodlet. He was probably making snide remarks about her looking like a farmer. Uh, Helseth, if there is anyone who looks out of place here, it's you.
Helseth then attempted to make friends with Tinsel, who must not have been impressed since he attempted to pee on the overdressed mer's leg. Aryc and Amaryllis showed up at the park and while they were socializing, Helseth sneaked up behind Amaryllis and scared her.
(Aeronwen to Acacia: "Now that he is no longer a king I feel comfortable saying this; our father is an ass.")
Eventually Aeronwen and Neldor headed home with their dogs. They always like seeing their friends and relatives at these pet events, but they don't really care to see Helseth again anytime soon.
Now we tune in for Nert's nightly report:
The town loon's gaggle appears to have influenced Erandre Dence to perform some badly timed antics on Gilvoth Dagoth. Let's just say that the final effect was not taken kindly.
(So that's what Gilvoth was yelling about. Really he was. I saw him stomping along the sidewalk through town and he practically had smoke coming out of his ears.)
"She stared into my eyes and it was like Usanda Moon Leaf was reaching into my soul," murmured Engaer after meeting the Feral on the street. "I couldn't move for some reason, and simply ended up being batted around like a rag doll until the wolf finally got bored and left."
(Good. Maybe she batted some sense into you about Yanna.)
"He is simply irresistible! I feel drawn to his presence. The feeling is so intense! So exciting!" Sounds like Merriweather Golden has fallen hard for the awe inspiring wonder that is Verandis Ravenwatch.
(Poor Anaril. Perhaps someone should direct his attention to the lovely lady Bosmer who lives outside of town near the Gypsy Wagon.)
"I am a simple business-mer, and this is what simple business-mers do; buy property like the Vault of Antiquity. Why is that so peculiar?" asked Vemyn Dagoth. "Simply another investor in the future of our great town."
(Where is Vemyn getting all of his money to buy up the town? Oh wait, the protection racket. That's how he can afford all this real estate.)
"Some individuals are simply ungrateful," commented local Magnate Barenziah. "Our society does plenty to help the lower class, some public, some private. Mers like Engaer may want to consider that the next time he berates our efforts."
(Maybe he knows that you're up to something and not making these donations out of the goodness of your heart.)
Authorities are asking citizens to be on the lookout for a Feral animal on the loose in town after Merriweather Golden found her home ransacked and a prized Chandelier Rug damaged. Any witnesses to the event are requested to step forward and aid in the investigation since Merriweather is not cooperating for some reason.
(I wonder if she wishes she would have stayed with the local knight Sir Anaril.)
That little vixenYanna Swift Leaf has been seen out-and-about with poor sap Verandis Ravenwatch. "Verandis completely adores me. He would do anything for me. I love that."
(So Yanna is cheating on Engaer - big surprise - and Verandis is not being true to Merriweather. This town is full of sluts.)

Yeah, Sims seem to be natural sluts unless they are nailed down by their Story Progression settings. Thank goodness for that mod.
