It's no longer a question for me as to whether or not Wickery Glen is more stable than the original Moonlight Falls. It is. And since Wickery Glen is an entirely different world and not merely a replacement for Moonlight Falls I don't have to deal with removed vanilla households coming back into world and causing glitches.
The question in my mind now is whether to just go ahead and start a new game with my empty "Old Fashioned Town" save and bring the households I placed into Winchester into it. Basically a do-over. The answer to "do I want to" is yes. My reasons are entirely subjective. Winchester is great, but I am more of a "pine forest and snow covered mountains" person than a "beach and palm trees" person. Again, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Winchester. I just like the cold, and Wickery Glen looks like a much cooler climate. The reason I have held off doing a restart is that I still want to test and make sure this world doesn't end up having issues like some other worlds I've tried.
One other story detail I've been debating is if I want to keep Gloria's as Arthur and Gwen's firstborn child. Or should I have her siblings born first and have her be the youngest? One thing about her being the youngest of three is that it could help explain her Loner trait and her tendency to be independent. By the time she came along her parents already went through the "scary and fretful" part of child rearing, so they are old hats at being parents when child number three comes along. "Ah, it's just a skinned knee. Put some antiseptic and a bandage on her and she'll be fine".
The drawback of Gloria being the youngest is that when she realizes that there are witches, vampires and werewolves in town, the rest of the family's reaction is "Yeah, that's old news. We found out about that years ago." So this is another thing to mull over in my mind while I still test out Wickery with my salvaged MF hosueholds.
Now for some screenies, some of which show exactly why I would prefer to play out Gloria's reincarnation in Wickery.
It's been a while since Gloria and Faith went out for a quiet ride. It's great to view the rivers, waterfalls, forests and mountains from the back of a horse.

Here is her home, nestled at the base of snow covered mountains and surrounded by the woods.

The view from Gloria's front porch.

Take a look at this wild horse that was galloping down main street.

Here is something I can honestly say I have never seen in any game; a werewolf walking down the street with a kitten in his clawed hand. If I didn't know that the kitten was perfectly safe and is in fact the beloved pet of the werewolf, I would find this screenshot disturbing.

When it started to get dark, Gloria and Faith headed home. Along the way they passed James on his pinto Ranger. The way the characters are riding in opposite directions seems to sum up their relationship in this particular lifetime.

I briefly thought that James was going to get his act together. He became involved with a woman named Alexandria Leach, a younger, prettier version of a sim who is in the Moonlight Falls townie pack. At first I raised my eyebrow because Alexandria is a fully mature adult while James is still a young adult, but then I reminded myself that that Cody is a mature adult while Gloria is a young adult. So...it's that "what's good for the goose" thing.
A screenie of James latest (and briefest) romantic interest;

Unfortunately James screwed up when Sarah the Town Bike decided to go on a woohoo rampage. Within hours of getting a new girlfriend, James cheated on Alexandria by once again getting together with Sarah in a LLAMA booth. James, Kazimir has already beaten you up twice for woohooing with Sarah. What makes you think he won't hear about this?
James keeps ruining his chances to have a solid relationship with a good woman because he can't resist woohooing with this strumpet.

Alexandria heard about James in the LLAMA booth so their relationship was over two hours after it began. James is now a known cheater and has a Naughty reputation.
I'll continue to work with this particular game while I make up my mind about how to handle the reincarnation of this group of characters. In the meantime we can continue to watch James make stupid decisions and cause his life to go down the tubes.
Hey, James, the science center has one of those brain enhancement machines. Maybe...you should schedule an appointment for a session or two before you end up as a blood-drained corpse that's been tossed into a ditch.
Edited to add: James was just beaten up a third time and is once again in the hospital. I hope being a horseman gives him good medical insurance.
Another edit; Alexandria must not be as smart as she looks because a notice just came up that she and James are now going steady.

James should have his own soap opera.

I thought that strumpet was Morgana, ha ha! Sure looks like her, a human version.
As a matter of fact I used Morgana as a base when I made Sarah. All I had to do was change her skin color and take away the pointed elf ears.
James should have his own soap opera.
Yes, his own spin-off. LOL The show will ask how many times James can be beaten up by the town's alpha-male vampire before he's finally killed.
