crown_of_antlers: Glorawenn's horse (Gold Steed)
As time passes in the recently started Appaloosa Plains game it ones again strikes me that this world seems much more stable than Moonlight Falls. The game saves and loads much faster and there is little to no lag. And we're talking about two worlds that have about the same level of customization going on. I do NOT compare this game to my Dragon Valley TES world. That world is VERY customized with the town being rearranged and with all of the vanilla households removed and replaced entirely with Elder Scrolls characters. It's a given that that world will save and load slowly. It's to be expected and can't really be avoided.

But back to what's going on in AP with Gloria living in her late grandfather's trailer on the lot she inherited. While she lives her peaceful, solitary life some changes have happened in the other custom households. Before i get into that, here is a screenshot of Gloria's horse and mini-donkey grazing together.

Since she doesn't perform with her horse at the Equestrian Center on weekends Gloria decided to spend Sunday afternoon at the movies and then went to the art museum. She happened to run into her parents there and I realized that I have not posted screenshots of them. When created parents for my four young adults, I used each young adult as a base and then aged them up so I ended up with a Sim who resembled the character that they are the parent of.

Gloria briefly spoke with her mother Gwen...

and then her father Arthur. At least this time Gwen didn't say anything that left Gloria with a humilated moodlet.

Gwen and Arthur recently adopted a pair of puppies. One is a black and white shepherd-type breed (I would say that this is Arthur's puppy) and the other is a white small-breed (which would certainly be Gwen's puppy). I guess they felt the house was too quiet and empty now that their daughter has moved out.

The other household that is changing is that of James' parents; they are having another baby. I had originally placed them in the one-bedroom house next to Honey Darnell. My backstory for them was that since their son was grown and had moved out they downsized into the one bedroom house. But now they are once again in need of at least two bedrooms, so they had to be moved.

I had set up a small home with a barn in the lot next to the lot that Gloria occupies and had been curious to see if either Allison or Robin would move into it. The house isn't very big but it does have two bedrooms, so James' parents left their house in town and now live in the valley. I took the screenshot immediately after moving them, which could be why James' mother looks a bit perplexed.

No doubt James, who had just moved into his own place a couple of weeks ago is thrilled to know that his parents and soon to be born sibling will now be living almost right across the road from him.

Actually when he got the news he went tearing off on his horse (Yes, Gloria's horse is splashing around in the water trough again).

As for the other characters I added, both Robin and Allison are still living with their parents and show no signs of wanting to move out on their own. That might change as the world's stories progress but for some reason I'm not holding my breath.
