As if I needed any more LOTRO alts. To be fair, however, Aungar is not a newly made character. He was created around three years ago when my Account Number Two was VIP. All this time he has been sitting there in Little Delving as a storage alt. But earlier this year I felt compelled to have him do some adventuring.
As I've mentioned before, I like to multi-box, but throughout most of this year I've been fighting with eustachian tube dysfunction which often made me feel as though I wanted to go crawl under a rock and die. It seems to be finally clearing up (knock on wood), but a few months ago I felt so sickly that I could only play LOTRO for short amounts of time and didn't feel like going through setting up my clients for two or three characters. And that's how Aungar started getting some attention. While I was sick it was much easier to play a solo adventurer.
His back story is that he is a resident of Michel Delving and was acquainted with the twins Calicia and Credella. He had heard that they had both left the Shire and went traveling with some elves (how strange!). Having a more somber personality than the twins, Aungar could not image what would have compelled Calicia and Credella to do such a thing.
(Well, he could imagine Calicia the minstrel doing such a thing, but he thought her sister Credella, who is a hunter, was more sensible)
With all the rumors of black riders, wights, orcs, and other terrible things roaming the land, Aungar became even more concerned about his friends and decided to venture out of the Shire and attempt to find them. Even if he can't convince them to return to the Shire, he could at least find out if they're all right. And so he began following their trail across Middle Earth.
At the time of this entry, Aungar is level forty and is questing and deeding in the Trollshaws. He usually wears the Scout's Weathered Jacket which Andranel was kind enough to place in the Wardrobe so other characters on Account Two could wear it. Aungar has a few ponies, including those from festivals, but he prefers the prized Eglan reputation mount.
He's proving himself to be a tough hobbit and a capable warden, but as he comes across creatures such as worms, wights, goblins, and orcs, Augar is really beginning to wonder if Credella and Calicia will be found alive. He can only hope that their elf friends are looking after them.
