As I mentioned in a previous entry, I created some other households, all whom have a group of pets, so that Aeronwen and Neldor are not the only people who have pets in whatever world they are in. Here are some screens of how I have them set up in Dragon Valley (they can of course easily be placed in any other worlds I want to start games in).
First is the Elsinlock family, which consists of a High Elf husband and wife, a Siamese cat, a Samoyed dog, and a pair of Lipizzaner horses (one a slate dapple gray and the other a very light gray/almost white.
In previous games, the husband tends to get a job with the military while the wife usually chooses to work in the medical field. When out riding the wife usually rides the dapple gray while the husband typically chooses the white horse.
Next is the Oakdale household. This family of Wood Elves consists of a husband, wife, twin children (a son and a daughter), two cats (both with a golden tiger coloration, one has stripes, the other has a leopard coat pattern). And of course they have horses, one is a pinto mare, the other an "English cob" type horse.
The husband, who plays guitar in his spare time, tends to choose to be a writer, though in one game he became a ghost hunter and went out in the evening in his "Ghost Buster gear" to cleanse other households of bothersome spirits. The wife usually gets a job at the Consignment Shop where Aeronwen goes to sell her paintings.
When out riding, the husband always chooses the pinto while the wife appears to prefer the cob. The cob is a very gentle and friendly horse. I often see him lowering his head to nuzzle the children and at times seems to be looking after them. In this screen he appears to be telling the pinto a secret.
And of course we have the Jackle-Thorn household, which I have moved to a larger lot. Thorinor and Sarasvati have a black cat, a Khalagh Tazi dog, a buckskin mustang, and a black Lusitano mare. They are recent additions to my game but so far they are being very true to character with both of them going to the theater and getting jobs in the music profession. They both seem to like riding the buckskin, though I have seen Thorinor riding and caring for the Lusitano.
The horses seem to like having more room. The buckskin immediately began playing with the horse ball.
Last but not least is the household that is inspired by Cruella DeVil. The household consists of a High Elf couple, with the wife decorating everything, and I mean everything, in black and white. Her clothes and her furniture is made from fabric that is displays either zebra stripes or snow leopard spots.
Her husband is based on Shadaar, the baddie from the game Sacred (though I'm sure many people would look at him and think "Severus Snape with elf ears"). He usually gets a job either at the school as a teacher or he goes into the medical field. So far he hasn't yet chosen a profession in my current game.
"High Elf Cruella" typically gets work as a Style Specialist at the Spa...but she doesn't often keep her job. She has the Diva trait and this tends to cause her to easily getting into fights with others. I've seen her slapping her clients and even getting into full blown, rolling on the floor, hair pulling fights. After getting fired she sometimes gets a job delivering newspapers (I'm not kidding).
Interesting thing about the "DeVil couple"; I never see them anywhere together. With all of my other families I frequently see them out in the parks or in town, sometimes having a picnic, sometimes sitting down to a game of chess, but Cruella and Shadaar never seem to have anything to do with each other.
They are both however very fond of their pets; a Tuxedo cat, a Dalmatian dog (of course), and two black and white pinto horses, one of which is a big Gypsy Vanner.
And so those are my additions to my Sim worlds. With all these other pets, Aeronwen and Neldor's household fits right in.
Edited to add: I noticed some unoccupied houses near the Jackle-Thorn and Oakdale homes so I decided to add Basnik, Alandis, Brolmir and Vendyne (and pets)
Basnik and Alandis live with their two cats in this nice little cottage which is across the road from the Jackle-Thorn property.
Up the road a bit and across from the Oakdale home was this cute little place, so that's where Brolmir and Vendyne live with their cocker spaniel and Irish Setter (at least one of their dogs HAD to be an Irish Setter).
