Adding Vampires to the Mix

Since the werewolves have added a new level of entertainment to my Elder Scrolls themed town I thought it would be interesting to add some vampires as well. At first I couldn't think of any Elder Scrolls vampires who would be suitable, but then I remembered that they didn't have to be characters from Morrowind. Being immortal, they could come from a much earlier time, such as the Second Era.

So...in a Victorian themed manor, literally next door to Voryn and Ashara's home, I have added the lead vampires from House Ravenwatch.

The household consists of Count Verandis Ravenwatch (Altmer), Adusa daro (Khajiit), Fennorian (Altmer), and Gwendis (Bosmer).







Almost immediately there was conflict between the Ravenwatch Vampires and the Black Claw Werewolves;

"Night dwellers like Gwendis drain the sweetness out of their prey and leave the best meat to simply rot. What a waste!" crooned Usanda Moon Leaf after laying the smack-down on the hapless vampire. "Teach them to mess with our prey! Waste not, want not!"

After this message was broadcasted I saw Gwendis checking herself into the hospital. However, she apparently wasn't too injured;

The local casanova, Tureynul Dagoth, with his extraordinary sex appear has chocked up another notch in the old bedpost with the recent addtion of Gwendis Ravenwatch to his flock.

Is anyone surprised? I'm not.

"We need fresh bodies in our battle against the scourge of life in this town, so I have chosen to add Ra'Virr to our company," mentioned Verandis Ravenwatch. "I am certain Ra'Virr will make the right decision and join our cause."

A short time later the notice came up that Ra'Virr had been turned into a vampire. Fortunately vampirism is easily cured even if it is a bit expensive. Ra'Virr immediately went to the science center and purchased the cure so he is once again a noraml Khajiit.

Lastly, the good news for the Big Stink refugees is that the Deliciously Indulgent Bakery has opened in town where it is owned and run by a nice Khajiit couple from Dune. The bad news is that Vemyn tends to hang out there.

"Perhaps if Khajiit remains very still the pale spooky Dunmer will go away."

Ashara *to Voryn, as she is looking out a window at the vampires next door* "This is interesting. They seem to be a sect of vampires from Summerset Isles, even with a Bosmer and a Khajiit. I wonder how civil they are, if they are friendly. If they prove to be hostile like the Thalmor, I could rig up some mirrors to reflect sunlight right into their windows. Perhaps a large magnifying lens, too."

He really does. He's amused by other people's discomfort.

I get the impression that Voryn isn't all that thrilled to be living next door to a family of vampires. Since Vallisara lives across and down the road a little ways from them, I also had the idea that Voryn and Ashara keep an eye on her just to make sure that the Ravenwatch family decides to add Vallisara to their household.


Just a little while ago the report came in that Barenziah "did business" with Crassius. I could imagine Aeronwen using her hand held communication device to call Acacia right after she heard the report.

Aeronwen: "Did you hear the news? Grandmother 'did business' with Crassius, and I don't mean buying real estate from him."

Me too. From the moment my characters first met him I found him so endearing.
