Even with the bed's headboard hidden in the walls with the moveObjects cheat, it was still just too tight in the bedroom and resulted in a lot of pathing issues. Since Gloria is single and only sleeps on one side of the bed anyway I put the double-bed into the family inventory and replaced it with a single bed. The room now seems a little bigger and there is more room to move around. Traffic jams will still happen, but this should lessen them some.

Something seemed to be missing at the front of the trailer so I added a couple of rustic looking pillars from the Welcome Back to Three Lakes Set. I also added another Wagon wheel bench which Gloria seems to like to sit on when reading.

She's now going even more Bohemian with the Bohemian Garden gazebo and the Woven Hanging Chair. No doubt Gloria's mother with be even more embarrassed. I didn't actually have any preconceived ideas on how Gloria would get along with her parents and just gave them the traits that seemed right for the characters. Gloria ran into her mother Gwen at the equestrian center and after they had spoken to each other Gloria had a Humiliated moodlet and a wish to throw an elixir at her mother.
It was easy to imagine Gwen saying things like, "What are my friends going to say when they hear that my daughter is living in a little cabin on wheels and performing with your horse for tourists in that silly Wild West show? You should have enrolled in the university! You would have then had a more promising future!"

Gloria cheered up after she got home, interacted with each of her pets and then started working on a painting (I had to laugh at the horse splashing around in the water trough). And Gwen actually wonders why Gloria was so eager to move out and live in her Grandpa's trailer as soon as she was old enough to live on her own.

I love how story details tend to fill themselves in within my imagination without me even trying. I imaged that her grandparents (on her father's side) used to take her out camping in the trailer when she was a little girl and they knew she would appreciate having it which is why it was willed to her. Gwen probably hoped it would just be sold and she never expected her daughter to want to actually go and live in it. The trailer wasn't left to Gloria's father because he didn't do as much camping or other outdoorsy things after he married Gwen.
What can I say? I love coming up with stories. :)

Does the horse have is front hooves in the trough?

Date: 2024-09-09 09:59 pm (UTC)From:Yep. LOL For as long as I've been playing this game I typically have the water trough right up against a wall, so I've never seen the horses do this before. But when decorating the trailer I had pulled the water trough away from the shed and forgot to put it back. Then when Gloria was painting I kept hearing this splashing sound and turned the camera to see what was going on. The horse had her front hooves in the trough and was pawing around splashing water all over the place. The ground beneath the trough soon became one huge puddle.
I had no idea the horses did this. LOL
