Sick of seeing my sims wander around in their athletic outfits instead of their carefully chosen everyday outfits, I did another search to see if any modders addressed this and found this mod: Dresscode.
I tried it out in my Moonlight Falls game, placing one of the dresscode signs on every community lot, then activated the sign in live mod and selected the attire that I want my sims to wear on that lot. Then I just let the day progress.
After a while I panned the camera around and the only place the sims were wearing their athletic outfits was at the gym. Everywhere else they were in their everyday attire except for the bistro which is set to formal.
Granted I had hoped to find a mod that would make the sims change back to everyday outfits right after exercising and it can feel a little tedious to place a dresscode sign on every lot, but it does work. I hope to get into my Elder Scrolls themed world this afternoon and will start placing the signs in there as well.
So, this is one way to keep characters in medieval or Victorian themed worlds from spoiling everything by walking around in t-shirts and shorts or sweatpants.

It changed Gilvoth's lifetime goal of creating monsters into gold digger ????? That's more like Odros and Curio.

I just got so fed up with the athletic clothes when I was in Moonlight Falls and Gloria was in the process of taking her mid-term exams. There she was, walking between the university buildings, dressed semi-Victorian with a long flowing skirt and matching fitted jacket when a few more young adult females showed up wearing extremely short shorts and tank tops. It ruined the whole look of the world and I was sick of having to use Master Controller to switch the inactives back into more appropriate clothes.

Date: 2025-05-02 08:21 pm (UTC)From:So far it's working well. As soon as inactives enter the lot they are forced to wear their everyday outfits, and I've gotten around to adjusting the everyday attire for almost all of the townies.
The ever present short skirts and shorts make it worse.
I swear this game always defaults to the most revealing outfits when randomly dressing the inactives. It goes right to shortest skirts and makes the females look like streetwalkers.
