One of the features in the Supernatural DLC are the zombies that spawn during the full moon. They shuffle around looking for living Sims to bite (and turn into other zombies). Many players don't like them and use Nraas Returner to disable them. I left them on because I liked the drama of my active household getting everyone inside and locked in at sunset, hunkering down and waiting until sunrise when the zombies disappear. This was fun and amusing until this evening.
The horses were locked in the stable, Neldor and Aeronwen were locked in the house with their dog and cat, and I had the camera move across the map and over the town to see what, if anything, was going on there.
And I saw this:
No no no no no no no no no! Not Thorinor! This isn't how he's supposed to go! He's supposed to live to a ripe old age and still be chasing Sarasvati around their bedroom even when his hair is white and he's either using a cane or is in a wheelchair. He's NOT supposed to go by zombie bite!
Unfortunately the last save I have is before Clever Prank was formed. It will be a pain to have Neldor ride around town again to find his brother and cousins and get them recruited into the band, but that's preferable to...Zombie Thorinor (poor Sarasvait).
Somewhere in Dragon Valley (which I have come to think of as New Ascadia), Neloth is smiling. Actually, forget just smiling, he's laughing and dancing around the house.
So, I will go back to an earlier save and disable zombies so this doesn't happen again to the households that I'm not controlling.
Retuner Settings:
Retuner > General > By Tunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.Controllers > LunarCycleManager
kNumSimsToBeZombifiedOnFullMoon > 2 (or 0 to disable)
Edited to add: Well what do you know; Nraas has a mod called Tagger which can be used to show you where every Sim in the world is while in map view. So instead of Neldor having to hunt for Thorinor, Brolmir, and Basnik he can just look at the map. How handy.
