So far this remake of Moonlight Falls is running just about as smooth as silk. The routing issues are fixed and there does not seem to be the insane amount of collectable spawn points in Wickery Glen. Since it was working well I decided to push the envelope a little more (because really, one single household in the world isn't much of a test).

For "Test B" I remade the town to make it more centralized and used buildings that have a more old fashioned look to them. Most of the rabbitholes are the same ones that are used for the Winchester Farming Community. For rabbit holes, such as for Business and Journalism, that don't have a building with the right look, I am using rabbithole rugs inside shell buildings from this mod: Amélie's Oddities Consignment Shop. I just apply different textures so that the shell buildings don't all look identical.

Some screenies of Wickery Glen's "main street";

I noticed that when Gloria goes through there on her bike travel is very smooth. It was never this smooth in the original Moonlight Falls.

Next I brought in some townies, though not a whole lot since the idea if for this to me a small community, with homes scattered around in the woods along with a few places close to the town. For vehicles I am only allowing the townies to have either bikes, brooms for the witches, mule-drawn carts, or old fashioned looking cars like this one; The Woody: All Turf, No Surf .

Along with a household made with some of the Moonlight Falls Townies and a few of the premade Skyrim style werewolves, I brought in the households that I had saved from my bogged down Moonlight Falls game. I let the game itself move some townies from their group homes into individual homes. Once I'm sure the game is done with that part I'll remove most of the empty houses.

Again, all I can say is so far so good, but I need to remember that it's still a fresh new game and has not been going on so long that the eldest generation has passed and a new one has come along. I noticed that Wickery Glen takes a little longer to load and save than Winchester, but that really can't be helped since Wickery is a large world and Winchester is a medium world.

I confess, because I love the environment of Wickery Glen it's very tempting to move the sims I placed in Winchester to Wickery, but I believe I'm going to hold off a bit longer and perhaps have the families move from the island once Gloria's generation reaches the Young Adult stage. There are plenty of story reasons why the families might choose to leave the island at that point, such as not enough work or homes for the kids who have become adults.

One thing with bringing in the families from the old MF game, it makes the testing process more entertaining to see how the story continues to play itself out. Apparently James has a thing for much older...and undead...women, because his romantic interest is the extremely pale and extremely gaunt female vampire from the Moonlight Falls townies pack. Granted I put longer, fuller hair on her rather than the severe bun, but she still looks ghastly. I guess Gloria wasn't pale enough for James. Or her skin is too warm. Either way, gee whiz, James. Yes, Gloria is hanging around with a werewolf, but at least he is closer to her age and not overly hairy when in human form. And he has a pulse.

Speaking of the twisted Little Red Riding Hood story, while James is walking around with some really ugly hickies on his neck;

Granny Sarah: "Well hello, dear. Is that werewolf with the long gorgeous black hair and the equally gorgeous biceps still working for you? I would love to invite him over for...tea and cake. Yes, that's it. Tea and cake."

Gloria: "Yes, I bet you would."

I guess we'll see if this remade MF continues to work well. So far it's looking like it was worth the download.

Is.. is James okay?

...That woman makes Therana look like a spring chicken.

So far, so good on the world. I'm keeping it in mind.
